They're here!!
I have finally had a chance to sit down and go through my pictures from our trip!
And I've selected some to share with all of you!
Yippee!!
So here they are!
So these are both from our first few hours in Amman, Jordan. The top is the Roman columns and the bottom is the Roman Amphitheater in Amman.
This is our second day in Jordan!
Petra!
This is the walk to get to the walk
that gets you to the walk
that gets you to the stairs
that get you to the hike...
..it was a really long day.
On the right is The Treasury, it was in Indiana Jones. On the left, you can see The Treasury through the rocks. The rocks are what's called the Siq it's basically a 2 mile long trench that you have to walk through, it's really cool in there! I blogged more in depth about it a few weeks ago.
It wouldn't be a trip without Guillaume!
All the caves are tombs, there are over 300 surviving tombs! There used to be houses and such but they've all been destroyed by earthquakes.
This is The Monastery. It was quite a challenge getting to, OVER 800 STEPS!
But it was well worth it!
Camel Rides!!
So fun!!
The Camel Man,
he was a little sketch.
Now we're on to day 3 of Jordan! Mt. Nebo and the Dead Sea! This was taken from Mt. Nebo, the mountain believe to be where Moses was allowed to look out onto The Promised Land.
Isn't it just crazy that that's essentially the same view that Moses had!?!
I mean I'm sure the scenery has changed in 4,000 years,
but you know what I mean!
We had such a good time that day!
The Dead Sea!
You really do float!! It's so strange feeling!
And I will say that the mud really does wonders for the skin!
Am I right Halley Claudel??
Our last day in Jordan :(
We visited the ancient citadel in Amman, it was really neat! So many old ruins that have been there for centuries, it's kind of a weird thought to process.
The citadel did afford us with some pretty breathtaking views of Amman! In the picture just above you can see the Roman Amphitheater we visited on the first day!
Our sweet party bus driver, Joe (top), and tour guide, Na (bottom). They were both precious and made our day in Bangkok so very fun!!
We were able to visit the Floating Market outside of Bangkok,
that was an interesting experience.
Next, we went to the Elephant Park!
That was definitely the HIGHLIGHT of our trip!
We got to ride on their backs without a basket or anything!
It was AWESOME!
And then we got to play with them in the water!
It was so INCREDIBLE!
I would highly recommend adding that to the bucket list!
This video was too long to upload straight to the blog so I had to put it on YouTube.
So if you would like to watch,
and I recommend that you do,
Our time in Bangkok came to a close and we headed to Pattaya to spend some time with Monica. The first night she took us to a traditional Thai restaurant that even had Thai music and dancing!
The next day we had our zip line adventure through the Thai jungle!
It was also AWESOME!
We happened upon a temple on our last day in Pattaya.
Yes that is a monk feeding a stray dog.
The last day in Thailand we spent some time just relaxing, we got massages and went to the beach! It was a perfect end to our vacation!
