Livin' Da Life

Well guys, it's been quite a day!
The Lord has been working today and it has been SO COOL to be a part of it!

You want me to tell you about it?
Okay, great!
(I was going to anyway...BOOM)

Well, this morning whilst I was reading and praying and just spending some time with my Lord, I felt Him telling me that we were going to get the chance to share our faith today.
The thought of that gave me mixed emotions.
On the one hand it made me really excited!
On the other it made me a touch nervous.
But I just tried to keep my focus on the Lord and He is never going to give me a task that I can't accomplish through Him.
The Lord doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called.
(Thanks MomBond!)

So I just prayed that the Lord would use me in that opportunity and that His glory would shine through in the end, and then I tried to keep my eyes peeled for that encounter.

So we went to Llanberis today, which is a town at the base of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales.
(its absolutely GORGEOUS)
We went to this cafe, Pete's Eats, and we met a man there.
He spotted Tara's camera and started chatting with her about photography and stuff and eventually that led to us getting to interview him!
His name is Richard.
He's a photographer.
(on the side)
He works in construction.

So we started talking with him, just the typical interview questions.
But then they started to get a little meatier.
And I decided to just go for it and dig a little deeper than we normally go.
I just asked "well, what do you believe?"
and he told us.
Then he asked me "well, what do you believe?"
And I was just like....there it is.

We ended up talking to him for close to two hours!
It was awesome!
He has a lot of different opinions about a lot of different things.
He was very nice about it but he was also very insistent that we were wrong.
But you know that's okay.
We can't do anything to change his heart.
But the Lord can!
And I believe that he's going to!

So my prayer for Richard is that the Lord would reveal Himself.
That He would show that He is true and He is real.
That He would get Richard's attention.
Any way necessary.

It has been absolutely INCREDIBLE watching the Lord work since I've been here!
I can't wait to see what He has in store for my last 10 days here!

To Wimbledon We Went.

Well guys, we did it.
We went to Wimbledon.
And it was AWESOME!

We got there around 12ish and there was absolutely NO ONE in The Queue waiting to buy tickets!
Unheard of!
We walked right in, bought our grounds passes and we were there!
It was Magical.

We didn't actually get to see any matches,
1. we didn't have show court tickets
2. it rained buckets so there was only play on center court.
We were going to try and just hang around the practice courts and see if we could sneak a peek at anyone, but due to the rain those courts were covered.
Ah well, we were still there!

We got to have as much of the Wimbledon experience as the good Lord would let us!
And we enjoyed every minute of it!

Best strawberries I have ever placed into this mouth.
SO GOOD.

And after we had tired from the rain and things we left and went and just walked around London for a bit. We got to see the London Eye and the House of Parliament and Big Ben!
Not too much but still something!!

Annnnnnnd today is back to "real life" (if this is what I now consider real life....oh dear).
Tara and I shall be out trying to snag our goal of three interviews!
We had one lined up for this afternoon but sadly, Tom is not feeling too well so he had to cancel.
Sad day.
Oh well, the Lord didn't want us to talk to Tom today.
He has someone else in mind for us!
So bring em on!

It's Been A Delight...Even the Turks Think So.

So this morning as Tara and I were walking about the town square and we stumbled upon a little market of sorts....there were very interesting booths set up.
One just so happened to have some lovely treats and such...most were from the far off land of
Turkey.
And lo and behold, what did they have there for us to sample:
TURKISH DELIGHT
So ya know what?
We tried it.
And it was Good.

As some of you may know, I have tried in the past to make my own Turkish Delight....and have failed miserably.
Fortunately, this was FAR better than mine.
And, the man selling it seemed rather impressed that I had given it a try.

yum.

We also got to troll around the quaint little town of Pwllheli.
It's a pretty cute place.
We accomplished our goal of getting THREE interviews today!
Yay us!
They were quite good interviews too...if I do say so myself.
There  was one in particular where I was tempted to probe him a little deeper about spiritual things, but then his response to "What do you think about God?" was "I don't really think anything about it"...so I kinda felt like we hit a dead end with that one.
But who knows, maybe this Will get him thinking about somethings!

So yeah, that's pretty much been my day.
Oh, we made some brownies.
Holla.

I don't know if I'll be able to post tomorrow...seeing as I'll be at Wimbledon and all.
I'll try my best...but I make no promises.
Love you guys!!

This just can't wait.

Well guys, I know I posted this morning but I just couldn't wait!
Okay, so let me explain.
This morning I woke up in a bit of funk.
I just couldn't seem to shake it.
Satan was just attacking, HARD.
It was just super discouraging and I couldn't figure out how to get out of it.
And it got a little bit better as the day went on, but not too much.
And I was just so frustrated.
I talked about it with mom and with Tara and that made me feel better, but the frustration was still there.
I just felt beaten and broken. I couldn't find my way out of this pit.
And then I got on Facebook, and I had a message waiting from my lovely friend Miss. Kelsea Fox.

The Lord is SO SO GOOD.
He used Kelsea to give me some much needed encouragement.
Apparently the Lord had laid it upon her heart that I was in need of some serious prayer and encouragement.
And He was so right.

I'm just in awe of the Lord's timing and the way He uses certain people to accomplish certain tasks.
It just baffles me.
I can't get over it.
He's so incredibly shocking sometimes.

I don't think I'm really explaining things very well....I guess I'm at a loss for words.
Soooo I might as well just leave it at...the Lord is good, and faithful, and pretty much the absolute coolest EVER.

So guys, go out and just experience what the Lord has in store for you!
It might not seem like a lot now, but IT IS!
TRUST ME!

Strange Nights.

So sorry I didn't have the opportunity to write to you all last night!
I know I'm a horrible blogger, and I apologize.
But we got home terribly late last night and well, I was pooped.
So I opted to rest and then give you all something absolutely Grand!

So yesterday was a bit of a FUN day if you will.
Tara and I hopped on a bus and came to Dolgellau to visit her friend Miss. Gwenno Teifi.
It is quite lovely here in the mountains!

So we just hung out here for a bit and then we had to be on our way.
You see had tickets to a Fleet Foxes concert (don't feel bad I didn't know who they were either).
So we had to drive on over to Wolverhampton, England.
Let me tell ya....that was an adventure.
We didn't quite know how to get there so we were relying on the good ole iPhone of Gwenno, but you know those things have the worst battery life...but don't fret we made it safe and sound we just had a few moments of confusion.

So we arrived in Wolverhampton (Hannah Lane's future home) grabbed us some Pizza Hut before the show, and then it was off to enjoy an evening of "musical gloriousness" as Tara would call it.
(She's a HARDCORE fan.)
It was a good show!
They are quite talented.
I think I would have enjoyed it a little better had I 1. known who they are or any of the songs 2. been able to sit down 3. if it hadn't smelled like an after sport armpit.
But on a whole it was good fun!

Also, the opening act, The Bees, had a look-a-like of someone at Tech.
Can anyone guess who it is?

David Miller I didn't know you were British.

Okay but now please allow to explain the title of this here post.
As you know, our hostelmate Allison has left us.
So Sad.
What's even sadder is that she has been replaced in our room.
Annnnnnnd her replacement is.......
FOUR MIDDLE-AGED MEN
Yay.
Not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR.
The joys of a hostel.
NOT REALLY.

Please allow me to disclose my first impressions of our new "roommates" :
(sick just saying that makes me want to vomit)

1. Holy Mess yall smell disgusting. How does a smell like that even happen?
2. Oh hey, there are four of you, not three....perfect
3. oh wow, you are all over the age of 35....creepy
4. great....you all snore incredibly loud.
5. Annnd the cherry on top....you all sleep in your UNDERWEAR.
(and Im not talking like boxers style, Im talking European/Speedo style)

So yeah, keep us in your prayers.
 We live with men.
It's highly inappropriate.
And very very uncomfortable.
Lord, help me!

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

We went to Mars.

So today we said goodbye to our dear friend and hostelmate, Allison. It was truly a sad moment.
Especially considering that she has been replaced by 3 men in our room.
Lovely.

After our sad goodbyes our local tour guide, Rhys Llywd took us on over to Anglesey.
That's an island off the coast of North Wales (it's where Kate and William live...check it!)
just a little fyi...Anglesey is known as "The Mother of Wales"

We went to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Yes, it is a real place.
Yes, that is really the name.
No, I cannot pronounce it.

Then we went to Llangefi to try and get some interviews, we weren't having too much luck on our own so Rhys took us to someone he knew that owned a bookshop.
It turned out to be probably our best interview yet!
He gave us a lot to work with, we talked about pretty much every topic we were asked to hit on!
And he had a lot to say about everything!
It was great!!
(and it was quite in his little shop...no dang seagulls!)

Then we went to Mynydd Parys, which is an ENORMOUS abandoned copper mine.
It was like we were on a different planet....it was CUHRAZY.
But it was soooooo cool!!
(dont worry babs i got some cool rocks for ya!)

All in all it was a nice and leisurely day.
Some how, Im not sure how, but those always seem to be the most exhausting of days...am I right?
Im right.

Well Ill leave you all to ponder the deep thoughts I've just laid down for you.
Go ahead...Ponder.

(and Im sorry, I tried to post some pics but it wouldn't work...so just check out fb!)

Castles and Curry.

Chello.
Hiya.
How are things?
Good?
That's Great!!
I'm so glad!

Well now that we've gotten those pleasantries out of the way, want to hear all about what I did today??
Of course you do, that's why you're reading this!
Duh.

So this morning, Tara, Allison and I took all of our dirty laundry over to Pete's.
Good ole Pete!
We dropped it off stinky and picked it up garden fresh!!
(which I found most exciting because I have been steady rockin that Pat. fleece since I got here)
(smelly)
(although one of my shirts had a spot on it...but I took it back and Pete got that right out...the man is good.)

Oh just a little diddy for you, this morning after dropping off our laundry we were walking back to the hostel, just a regular day no biggie....well unfortunately we passed the butcher....MISTAKE.
We just so happened to pass right as they were getting their morning shipment of meat.
So basically, we saw WHOLE COWS being unloaded by this strange crane contraption.
It was disturbing.
And that's all I'm going to say about that.

We ran a few errands this morning.
Got some postcards mailed.
What What!!
(now it's only some of them, so don't everyone get their hopes up...it's a MAJOR work in progress.)

After a bit of lunch (during which Tara and I watched Mulan...Throwback!), we decided to hit up the local Castle! Holla!!!
It was quite interesting and rather beautiful!
They had a really cool museum in it, but it had these freaky wax statues that gave me the heebie geebies!

Just for you LADIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Tonight is sadly, our hostelmate, Allison's last night :(
So we took her out for some Indian food...my first experience...I'd be okay if it was my last.
But it was quite nice to get to hang with her for a bit seeing as how we will most likely never see her again.
Oh that's a sad thought.

OH, also, we bought some copies of the newspaper we were in because of our super serious protesting!
Yeah, we're a big deal.

Protesting and Climbing.

Howdy.
It has been one interesting day let me tell you!
We had an early morning at the protest...what what!
Im political now!
BOOM!!

We were very sensational!
Here's a little taste...

Okay we weren't that sensational, it was only about 8 people there buuuuut it was still cool! It was my first protest and it was peaceful so that was good. There is a zero tolerance policy here so if we had had any troubles with the popo it would have been see ya lata ladies!

We met a lovely lady from Sydney on the way to the grocery store today!
And then we bumped into her again later that afternoon...SMALL WORLD!

After this riveting incident we were squired around the lovely town of Bangor by Mr. Rhys Llwyd.
Shout Out!!
He took and showed us some of the town and such and we did a bit of shopping and site seeing.
And then he took us to Cwm Idwal (good luck saying that one).
Which is this ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS mountain area.
I don't understand how someone could see something like that and not have to believe in such an Almighty Creator!
He has so much beauty and so much creativity it's ASTOUNDING!
If you took the word for beautiful from every language known in the world and combined them all in one giant sentence full of fabulous adjectives, it wouldn't do even begin to do this place justice.
What a GLORIOUS GOD we serve!
Hallelujah!

These pictures totally don't do it justice but just for a little taste!

PTL Bernie yall!
(shout out to Molly Hopper, Bethany Rogers, and Kelsea Fox)

Strange Men.

Soo it's been a lovely day in Caernarfon!
Tara and I slept in and just chilled out this morning...which was NICE!

And then we walked around and just scoped things out and did a bit of shopping...played the tourist card fa shos!!! Got some nice postcards and a few presents for a few people (I won't name any names because then I'll just get 323,470 emails asking what it is...polllllllllllllllllllly Im talking to you!).
It was nice just to get to walk around town and just enjoy the city.

After a short rest, Tara and I set out to have an interview with someone, and that's exactly what we did!! We were just walking down a street and there was this adorable old man in his front yard, and so we just went ahead and walked up to him and asked if we could interview him! I stumbled over my words a bit at first but once we got started it was really good! He was really nice and willing to talk to us. He wasn't Welsh, he was English, but he gave us some good insight, and one of his neighbors is a former mayor of Caernarfon, and he said he would be very willing to talk to us some time...SCORE!
It was AWESOME!

Tonight Tara, Allison (our hostelmate) and I went to Rhys' church (he's a local pastor that works with our program from time to time...Tara knew him from last year).
 It was quite nice!!
The service was in Welsh but they had these headset things we got to use, where a man in the back was talking into a microphone translating what they were saying.
It was really cool!!!
And then Rhys had us over for dinner along with a few others.
It was lovely.
Way to cook some lamb Rhys!

Tomorrow, one of the girls we met tonight is going to take us to a protest in Bangor, it's about 15 minutes away. The protest is because the government is cutting funding for the Welsh speaking programs.
SO RUDE.
But that should be interesting...I've never protested before.
New experiences!

OH, just one interesting story before I go for the evening. So last night the three of us went to sleep around 12ish, and at that time it was just the three of us. So I roll over around let's say 9ish.....well there was someone else in the room with us.
A BOY!
Yep, there was a boy in the room with us.
WEIRD.
None of us know when he got there or when he left, or WHO THE HECK HE IS.
ITS A LITTLE FREAKY.
CORRECTION: A LOT FREAKY.

The Lord will protect us.
Pray for me!!!!

Landed in Caernarfon.

This morning was a bit rough. I had to say goodbye to some people I had gotten pretty close too (ladies you know who you are) and that was NO FUN. And it's just been a weird day, I'm not really sure how to feel. We've moved from the comforts and ease of orientation into the real deal. And that's scary.

We've made it to Caernarfon, our home for the next 3 weeks! Woop!
Our hostel is really nice and the owners are pretty cool. We're in a fairly small room, only 3 bunks, so 6 people and right now it's just us and another girl from Virginia. She's nice we all went to dinner together so we could get on the internet (no wi-fi in the hostel....NOT cool).

But all in all it's been an okay day. After we got our things settled at the hostel, we just went walking around town exploring a bit, bought a couple postcards and such. And then we went and bought ourselves some groceries for the upcoming week. Then we headed back to the hostel and watched a little Boy Meets World and took a light nap...glorious!

I'm excited about what the Lord is going to do in this city this summer. I am also scared about what the Lord is going to make me do this summer. I know He's going to push me, and I know that it's going to be hard. But I also know that it's going to be worth it and that He has a grand plan for it all.

Just a few prayer requests for the upcoming week:
-that Tara and I would be able to come together not just as teammates but as friends and sisters in Christ so that we can work better and be more efficient for the Kingdom.
-that I would have the right attitude and remember that it's not about me but about the Lord, and about those people that I have been sent here to reach out to
-that I would have an attitude of boldness and obedience
-that the people we meet would be open and willing to talk to us

Thank You all so much for your prayers and support! It is both felt and appreciated!
Love you guys!

And the Journey begins...

Well guys tomorrow's the big day......SCARY.

I'm not quite sure how I feel yet. I am excited to get out and actually start our project but I am a little nervous to leave what has become comfortable over the past week. But that is just the devil talking and he's just so obnoxious. Oh so dumb.

Tara (my teammate) and I got some logistics today so I've decided to share them with you all because well you might be a bit curious.

We are on a videography team, which means that our main goal is to interview and talk to the Welsh people and just get their perspective on life in general. We will be trying to find out just what they think and feel about their culture, their language, their country, religion in general and a variety of other topics. Basically we are just trying to engage them in intentional conversations and then let the Lord work His magic.

We'll be staying in the city of Caernarfon in North Wales...in a hostel...in possibly mixed dorm style room (a.k.a. I might be sharing a bathroom and/or sleeping areas with BOYS. Lord help me!)
That whole situation makes me a biiiiiiiit nervous (for those of you that know me well probably realize that I'm saying I'm only sort of nervous but I'm probably wheezing as I type) buuuuuut this is just another area where I will have to trust in the Lord's provision and protection, and accept His planning.

But with our project comes a fair amount of freedom. We've talked about some possible day trips and stuff and maybe some other things we can do to maybe get some better footage or meet other people.

No matter what, this experience is going to challenge me and I'm looking forward to it! I've gotten WAY to comfortable in my own little world.
So let's do this thing Lord!
 Challenge me!
Stretch me to the limit!

I know the Lord is going to work; I know He is going to move. I can't wait to see it all unfold! I think in the past my downfall has always been that I've been somewhat willing to do the work but I've doubted that the Lord would actually work. Why would He reveal Himself if I didn't think He could? I was oh so naïve. Well that's not the case this time!
He's Here and He's Working!
He's Big and He's Strong!
He's going to do something INCREDIBLE and He's letting me be a part of it!
 How humbling!
Praise the Lord for His willingness to use someone so ill-equipped as me!

Nearing the End.

Well folks we're coming to a close here at team orientation...so bittersweet!
I've loved my time here getting to know all these great peeps and learning more about the Lord and about the Welsh people! The Lord is so cool and He has taught us all so much! It's been so LEGIT to get to experience!

Tomorrow is our last full day here and let me tell you it's going to be strange. It's been awesome getting to hang out and play for the week and it's going to be sad to have to say goodbye to all the friends I've made this week....oooooo Im gon miss yall!!

The Lord is going to work this summer and I can't wait to see it all fall into place!
I came across these verses last night and it was just like ohhh okay...

"Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!"
-2 Corinthians 9:13-15

Praise to the Lord because He is going to be glorified in this place this summer!

P.S. Happy Birthday to a very special lady! Happy Birthday MomBond! I love you!

Nap Day!!

Well today is Wednesday, ya know what that means????

WE GET TO TAKE NAPS! That's what I'm talking about!!!

We were only allowed to nap for 20 minutes but let me just say that it was absolutely GLORIOUS!!
It was a simple and refreshing blessing from the Lord.

Hallelujah!

We had yet another interesting day in Welsh class.
I would like to share a few words I learned today with you.
Here we go:
children = plant (pronounced plant)
woman = fenyw (pronounced menu)
car = car (pronounced car)
house = ty (pronounced ti)

I just want to make a small shout out to Krista Doyle in reference to the Welsh word for house. As you know it is pronounced "ti" and our class requires a large bit of repetition...so our entire class was saying "ti...ti...ti..ti...ti...ti...ti....ti...ti...ti...ti..." for about 3 minutes......make you think of any movie in particular??

Not too much different going on here just still trying to prepare to go out pound the pavement for da Laurd. We hit the streets on Saturday!! So exciting! I can't wait to see all that the Lord has in store for us this summer! It's going to be great and I can't wait to let all of yall know all about it!!

The Road Less Traveled.

Hello All.
How's life in the USA? I trust all is well.
Today has been a glorious day!

I woke up and it was a beautiful sunshiny day and it was absolutely wonderful! I wore SHORTS...and at one point I even took off my fleece for MOST of the day...Exciting!

We had yet another completely overwhelming and difficult Welsh class, but we're making progress. Slowly but surely...

We had some fun team building time where basically we just played tag and a variation of duck-duck-goose.

After we had a touch of training for our individual projects (videography team what what!). During this time our supervisor asked us to just give a brief description of our experience in film and photography and a bit about the equipment we brought with us...this was an interesting time. Basically this is how it went down:

everyone else said "yeahh I'm in film school/I'm a film major...I do all the video work for my church and such...I'm a professional photographer on the side...I'm an art major and I've had to do videos and such for my projects...etc...etc...etc"

and then I said "uhhhhh I can take a picture...and I about all the film experience I have is with dance/squeaky videos...."

Sooooooo yeah....let's just say I feel a bit incompetent. But ya know BRING IT ON! This way I know that I can't do it on my own, I gotta trust da Laurd! And I know He will deliver nothing short of amazing so let's do it!! I can't wait!

....But anywhoooooo....

We got a touch of free time today so Miss. Kelsea Fox (shout out! check this girl's blog Kelseafox.tumblr.com) and I got to take a lovely walk! We decided to go a different way than we had been before...."the road less travelled." We weren't quite sure in the middle parts whether we should have gone that way or not...it was a touch sketch at times buuuut we found our way back and didn't encounter any problems, except for some sheep being weird. Sheep. So dumb.

Here's a couple of pics from our walk to the beach yesterday...sorry they're late but the internet is SUPA SLOW.

P.S. if you would like a postcard just hit me up witcha address and I'll for sure get ya one!! I'm not sure when it will get there but you'll get one FA SHOS.

Noswaith Dda!

Good Evening!

Im learning Welsh yall! What’s up! We had our first Welsh lesson today, and when they told us it would be intensive they weren’t kidding! My head is still trying to get a grasp on all of this...I’ve made some sounds I never thought were possible.

After we all had sometime to think normally again, we had some free time and took a little walk down to beach...it was quite nice out today. Still a touch chilly but it did feel nice and I even parted from my fleece for a few short minutes. Be proud. We even got mistaken for locals, a sketch man with a “true soul patch” (a cross tat on his chin) in a big white van asked us for directions. Shout out to Molly Hopper and Kelsea Fox!

Also, we got to visit a typical Welsh supermarket, ASDA, ironically it is proudly run by the good people at Wal-Mart. Surprising no? It was cool to get to see all the different stuff they had and some American stuff with funky labels. Oreos on rollback?? That’s what I’m talking about!!

Now we are all sitting in the dining room sucking up the internet cause we only get an hour each night...woop woop! Soooooo I’m going to leave yall with one final thing........HE’S BACK!

Welcome to Wales!

Cheerio from across the sea!!

Well guys I've been here in Wales for about two days and let me just say...jetlag is REAL LIFE!! All these people who think they are better than jetlag...just a news flash YOU ARE NOT. It's real and it's coming!

Yesterday was some kind of rough let me tell you...They wouldn't let us fall asleep in order to help regulate our bodies to the time change. NOT FUN...well actually it was quite fun but mostly because we were all delirious!

In their "no sleeping" efforts we got to take in a few sites! Castles anyone??? YES please!!

After we had enough of the towers and dungeons, we drove a bit more (we "DID NOT" sleep on the drive) and we stopped at the beach!! What What!

Note: beaches are nice always, but they aren't quite as nice when it's COLD and when the sand is replaced for rocks...but regardless it was quite LOVELY. And it had the most wonderful beachy, fishy smell....my fav!!!!!

So now we're staying at a Christian camp in northern Wales for orientation and team and language training!! We get to learn Welsh! What up!!

So that's all for now I presume but I'll holla when I have something more interesting to say LATA.

P.S. Sadly Guillaume was not present with me on this adventure...he got stuck in the other van...soooo sad!!

I have ARRIVED.

Well I'm here...after what feels like an ETERNITY of traveling!!

We're just chillin in the airport waiting on the rest of our team to arrive and then I believe there's talk to a castle visit, what what! (hopefully we'll get some lunch before. I'm FAMISHED)

And they have informed us that in order to combat the evil that is JetLag they are going to make us stay up until at least 9 p.m. (it's about 10:30 a.m. now) sooooo that should get interesting....can you say large gaggle of delirious  southern college students??? PARTAY.

NOTE:
I have made it my personal mission to bring back the ancient art of letter writing and postcard sending. Who doesn't love getting mail?!? communists that's who.

So join me in my mission and we can bring back a BE-A-UTIFUL thing!

P.S. hit a girl up if ya want a postcard! HOLLLLA!

check ya later.

People Watching

So as pretty much EVERYONE already knows, airports are primo people watching locales! So many people, from so many places, going so many places...sooooo interesting.

I like to ask myself:

"What's that person's name?....Bethany, Willow, Tiffany, etc"

"Where could they be going and why?....Paris for vacation, Omaha to see their mom, Ft. Lauderdale to see their grandmom, etc"

"I wonder how old they are?...42, 26, 78, etc"

"Do they have any pets?...fluffy, rover, etc"

annnnnd that could go on for hours...but unfortunately my plane leaves around 7:30 p.m. so I'm going to have to limit myself. Rats.

Let me just say that traveling by yourself...not much fun. It's pretty boring, but oh well I've got 45 minutes of free wi-fi (thanks dad!) and a case full of movies to keep me occupied!

Well folks, hopefully the next time you hear from me I'll be across the pond!! See ya then!

The Day has Arrived

Well Ladies and Gents it's finally here...the day of my DEPARTURE. oh dang.

I woke up and my initial thought process went a little something like this:

"holy mess that is the most annoying sound in the world...gosh I'm so tired I just want to go back to sleep...why am I getting up this early?...HOLY CRAP I leave today!!...I don't wanna go!!...Wait, yes I do, it's going to be great..."

and so on and so forth.

anyways...I should probably go lots to do before I can leave and mom's just reminded me of the time...woopsies.

No worries, I'll be in touch.

Overwhelmed...

Well, the day of my departure just keeps drawing nearer and nearer, and that is a belittling feeling.

So much to do. So little time. (It's a cliché, but it's so true.)

My room looks as if my life threw up...junk is ERREWHERE.
And with tomorrow comes the task of trying to get all that junk into one backpack...that should be interesting.

But the Lord is in control. He will make my shirts and pants fit into my pack and still leave some room for some presents, y'all know how I am about presents...

I am excited. But I am also anxious. I just found out that recently there have been some "customs difficulties," meaning if I do or say something that the customs agents don't like, I won't be allowed into the country. So if I could get some prayers for that one they would be MUCH appreciated.

It's past midnight so I now officially leave for Wales TOMORROW.
And now that I've just about caused myself to have a panic attack I shall leave you all until I have something more exciting to write about...or until I stop hyperventilating.

It's Almost Time!

Howdy Folks.

So, as most of you know I will be in Wales for about a month this summer, and I thought I would start a blog to keep y'all informed and updated on all I am doing and such. And I felt it could be fun.

So here goes.

I leave for Wales in less than THREE days. OH. EM. GEE. I've got quite a bit of things to take care of before I go! I am completely overwhelmed.

But I am very very very excited. This is going to be so incredible! I am so excited to see all the adventures and challenges the Lord has in store for me and Tara (my partner whilst I will be in Wales). It's going to be so LEGIT.

So don't you fret, I'll keep all of you updated!

Thank you so much for your support and prayers, they are both much appreciated.

P.S. Guillaume WILL be present this summer...and for those of you that don't know who Guillaume is be patient...you'll find out soon enough.

See ya soon!
